Variations in biomass of fungal guilds are primarily driven by factors related to soil conditions in Mediterranean Pinus pinaster forests

چکیده
Abstract Soil fungi are vital for regulating ecosystem carbon balance and productivity, by driving processes related to soil nutrient cycling. The rate capacity of fungi-mediated linked fungal biomass dynamics identifying the drivers is important predicting responses environmental changes. Here, ergosterol-based estimates ITS2-based community composition profiles were used assess guilds. Effects forest management (thinning), factors (soil chemical properties, microclimate, weather stand composition) season identify guild-specific biomass. Biomass most guilds increased with availability (nitrogen potassium in particular) decreased thinning, variation total was mainly driven mycorrhizal Most reached a minimum during summer except root-associated ascomycetes, which instead winter. Mycorrhizal ascomycetes displayed similar spatiotemporal variability Yeasts moulds only displaying strong linkages whereas pathogenic moss-associated largely diverged their factors. results our study highlight that nutrients may have an overall stronger effect on Mediterranean Pinus pinaster forests than direct influences management.

Analysis of adaptive responses of Pinus pinaster to changing environmental conditions in the Mediterranean region
Recent climate evolution studies highlight the progressive temperature increase and prevalence of seasonal drought, with specially incidence in the Mediterranean region. Although conifers are very important species regarding forest conservation, sustainability and productivity, given the large forest surface they cover in Spain and their active role in preventing soil erosion and desertificatio...
متن کاملAre variations in heterotrophic soil respiration related to changes in substrate availability and microbial biomass carbon in the subtropical forests?
Soil temperature and moisture are widely-recognized controlling factors on heterotrophic soil respiration (Rh), although they often explain only a portion of Rh variability. How other soil physicochemical and microbial properties may contribute to Rh variability has been less studied. We conducted field measurements on Rh half-monthly and associated soil properties monthly for two years in four...
متن کاملPathogenicity of Fungal Agents Related to the Diseases of Conifers of Cupressaceae in Greenhouse Conditions
Conifers, a component of beauties of parks and landscapes, are infected with diverse pathogens, especially fungi. In this research, samples were collected from conifers displaying symptoms of disease in parks and landscapes of Rasht in Iran and for the isolation and identification of pathogenic fungi, pieces of infected tissues were placed in PDA and at the next stages in WA, PCA and SNA media ...
متن کاملDifferences in Soil Fungal Communities between European Beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) Dominated Forests Are Related to Soil and Understory Vegetation
Fungi are important members of soil microbial communities with a crucial role in biogeochemical processes. Although soil fungi are known to be highly diverse, little is known about factors influencing variations in their diversity and community structure among forests dominated by the same tree species but spread over different regions and under different managements. We analyzed the soil funga...
متن کاملAdherence to the Mediterranean diet and its related factors in elderly women in Shiraz
Introduction: The Mediterranean diet plays an essential role in maintaining older adults’ health and their quality of life (QOL). However, the older adults living in countries outside of the Mediterranean region face difficulties in adhering to the diet. This study aimed to investigate Mediterranean diet adherence and related factors among older women. Methods: This descriptive-analytical stud...
